The “Best of Sri Lanka” festival was inaugurated on September 11 at the Lulu Hypermarket, located in Malaz, Riyadh, by Pakeer Mohideen Amza, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Saudi Arabia. Also present at the occasion were Shehim Mohammed, director of LuLu Saudi Hypermarkets, and other LuLu Group executives.
Through this festival, the hypermarket aims to revive Sri Lanka’s unique culinary heritage, which is a blend of many colonial influences – British, Dutch and Portuguese as well as pan-Asian, with Indian (especially southern) and Indonesian.
