3. Aluminum and aluminum alloys

4. Copper and copper alloys

5. Nickel and nickel alloys

6. Alloy Steel

Most alloy structural steel and alloy tool steel can be cut by laser cutting methods to achieve good cut edge quality. Even some high strength materials can be cut resulting in a straight, non-stick slag edge, provided the processing parameters are properly controlled. However, melting and slag can occur when cutting high speed tool steel and hot work die steel containing tungsten.
