Halo is an American military science fiction television series based on the video game franchise of the same name. The series’ official synopsis reveals that it will follow “an epic 26th century conflict between humanity and an alien menace known as the Covenant.” Halo will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.

Successful series premiere of Halo on Paramount+
According to Deadline, the recently premiered Paramount+ series set a new record as the service’s most-watched series premiere worldwide within the first 24 hours of release. The new record surpassed the previous lead set by the Yellowstone prequel series 1883. “Bringing Halo to life as a streaming series has been one of the most rewarding endeavors for Paramount+ to date and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the massive fan response to the series debut,” said Tanya Giles, programming director at Paramount +. “Along with our phenomenal partners at Showtime, 343 Industries and Amblin Television, we can’t wait for fans to experience more of this incredible universe.”
Halo is produced by Showtime in association with 343 Industries, as well as Amblin Television. The series is produced by Steven Kane, Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. With the series having already been renewed for a second season, it most certainly shows that Paramount+ sees great potential in the Halo TV series. Of course there will be many Halo video game fans who won’t enjoy the series for various reasons, but nevertheless, after several years of going through “development hell”, the Halo The TV series was worth the wait.
The first two episodes of Halo are currently available to stream on Paramount+. The popular TV series will consist of 9 episodes with a running time of around 50-60 minutes. It has been reported that Halo had an estimated budget of $200 million, with episodes directed by Otto Bathurst, Jonathan Liebesman, MJ Bassett, Roel Reine and Jet Wilkinson. Details regarding the second season are currently being kept under wraps as production is expected to begin later this year.
